Rethinking Macro-Photography
We often associate macro-photography with super-sharp details of flowers, insects and other miracles of nature. In an ongoing project we use a special photography technique to create magic images beyond traditional logic. As the camera moves across minute details of leaves, wood, water, plants, we loose control over framing and exposure. The result is an unusual and not steerable “cooperation” between the elements present in the image. Our inkjet-based printing process gives the prints an almost unreal three-dimensional effect. In fact, as we lose control of the camera, we allow surprise into the frame, thus creating one of a kind images impossible to repeat.
